No errors...the higher fields are not submitting but the repeating data is.

Do you have the error node from qRules on your form canvas? Did the repeating items submit correctly, but just the higher level data is missing? Can you attach the entire template?

I want to set the value in a repeating table of any row that has a value that matches the value in the current row.   So if the GearID in any field = teh GearID in the current field, set Kit (another field in the row) to 0. I am trying this formula with no success - SetValue ...

Thank you for that fantastic tip to find the relative paths!  Attached is the mapping file again.  I first tried by just modifying it following what you sent back.  It didn't work :-(   then I used the mapping form to give it a try in case I made an error when typing but it didn't work either...I'm completely ...

The XPath on my form was really long because I have a lot of groups; so, I entered a calculated value control on the form and used the XPath expression builder to build my expression. From here, I changed the view to XPath (advanced) within the builder and subsequently copied and pasted the XPath to the expression box in the rules ...

You bet - Greg Collins taught me that, and it was a huge revelation to me, first off, for the "more than 5 conditions", but now, if I'm uncertain of the XPath for something, I'll pretend like I'm creating a rule condition, then change the first drop down to "The expression" and let InfoPath teach me the right XPath.

Okay, so when I gave you those initial relative paths, they were based on the form schema you pasted in XPaths for. This form schema is different, and the relative paths are different. Is employee a child of expense report? If so, the name would be ../../my:employee/my:name You can modify these directly in the mapping file if you wish. ...
