I presume you'd be able to get around this by changing the condition to: Field does not match pattern AND Field is not blank

 

Hi, I had specify Data validation rule. I had specify data validation rule for pattern matching. That field is opetional. then also at runtime it display estric (*) for that control. And it shows that to complsary insert value for that field. I want to remove that *. what to do? Thanks & Regards Shraddha

Hi All, In Infopath there is only changing,validating,changed event for any control like dropdown,textbox. If i want more events like textbox click then what to do..??? Thanks & Regards.

I have no idea how it happened but there were some bad characters inside the manifest.xsf file. This file is auto generated, so unless you went in there and added these I am not sure how it happened to be honest lol. The characters were embedded into Xpath references (for future references if this happens again). I attached the fixed template.

Hi All, I am working on Infopath 2007. I had signed certificate and host infopath form in sharepoint. Now whenever i click on new button it will first display security warning error. InfoPath shouldn't have any problems publishing to the server as I have never known of an InfoPath form to break a server before.  That said, to be extra safe you should save a copy of your form before publishing to the live server.  You should be able to republish the old form in case there are any issues with the new one. Do you know what you changed the last time you worked on it? Any new data connections? things like that.

Just want to clarify this, that you made all the fields *not required* FIRST then you add a Validation rule to EVERY required field and add a condition based on the Savable field. Is my understanding correct?
