Is there a risk on deploying Infopath to Sharepoint?

I'm sorry if I am asking something very stupid

The reason I asked the question is because the live server I'm having is very fragile and very old, every now and then it will break down for no reason. I do not want to be the person that break the server a part.

I'm just adding two new fields and one rule, without touching anything else to the previous InfoPath. I'm able to publish the new InfoPath to the test server without any problem. The test sever is exactly the same setup as the live one. Will the new InfoPath cause any problem if I start to publish it to the live server.

What is the worst case scenario I will have if I publish the new InfoPath without backing up the old InfoPath? If I do backup the InfoPath can I go back to the previous one without breaking the live server.

Is there anyway I can backup the old InfoPath before I publish the new one? Is there any risk on publishing the new InfoPath to the live server?

InfoPath shouldn't have any problems publishing to the server as I have never known of an InfoPath form to break a server before.  That said, to be extra safe you should save a copy of your form before publishing to the live server.  You should be able to republish the old form in case there are any issues with the new one.

    Good luck!
