So, the form works in preview, but when opened in Filler you get the catastrophic failure error? And it publishes as a browser form, but won't open in the browser?

You should be able to do this with a single button and no code. You'd have some different sections with conditional formatting on them and some helper fields to display / hide the appropriate sections. This post discusses the basic idea. If you use a formula for your email "To" address (like a field in the form or a secondary data ...

I know you've resolved this, but wanted to add some info for anyone else who runs into this. SortTable actually ends up deleting and re-adding the nodes after sorting - sometimes this can cause rules on those nodes to execute again (which can cause the looping error you've seen). I often add a node to an XML 2ds called ...

Hi,
I wanted to create a rule, where if 3 conditions will be met jointly (3 different values will be set in 3 different fields jointly) another field will change it's value. I set this rule on this specific text field, but it only works if I place one condition. If I add new ones it doesnt work at all. What am I doing wrong?

If a option button will work, then I can use that as only one answer is allowed. How do I do an option button so that it unchecks other options when chosen? I tried placing an option button, but it gave two buttons and I am only needing one per line. I guess I don't know how to do an option button either. I can't ...

Everything about the contact selector is
correct I think, it is just not generating the email. I thought I needed
to set up a data connection in the form to recognise the email address. I
am a novice to the contact selector and am desperate to achieve this and to
publish the form and it create an email to the person ...

Sorry, I don't underatand. The contact selector is "internal" to InfoPath. We do not see and cannot control the data connections it uses. Notice that the schema for the contact selector / people picker is read only, that is, the schema is locked and we cannot modify it.

If you're using a client form, you can use validation to show a dialog box message as soon as the validation error happens.
If you're using a browser form, there are no dialog boxes possible for validation. You could add a node called "ErrorMessage" and display that (read-only) on the canvas. Depending on the validation issue ...

Hi-
It sounds like a checkbox is the incorrect control, perhaps? What about using an Option button? With an Option button, you can give the user 4 options and they choose one.
With a checkbox, each one is independent from the others, each one being true or false.
You could use rules to uncheck other checkboxes if one checkbox is checked. Then ...

We have a number of forms with code that have been running
in SharePoint 2010 forms services with Sandboxed solutions enabled .
These forms are published to two different site collections.
Out of the blue, SharePoint decided that for just one site
collection, it would no longer run the form, giving an error that the ...
