Hi All,

 I hope someone can help.

I have created a form in Infopath that has two sections, one is for IT and one for payroll. basically I need one submit button that will email one section to IT and the other section to Payroll.

Is this possible?

Yes, this is possible. You'll need two submit buttons, each with its own data connection to send email.

You would need a boolean field to toggle, and force the form (or the user) to choose between IT or payroll. Once that selection has been made you can use conditional formatting to hide the section that does not apply.

You should be able to do this with a single button and no code. You'd have some different sections with conditional formatting on them and some helper fields to display / hide the appropriate sections. This post discusses the basic idea. If you use a formula for your email "To" address (like a field in the form or a secondary data source) you can change that in your rules as well.

Generally, the rules would be:

1. Set helper field to display only the IT section
2. Set email address field used in email connection to correct address for IT
3. Submit using email data connection
4. Set helper field to hide IT section
5. Set helper field to display Payroll section
6. Set email address field used in email connection to correct address for Payroll
7. Submit using email data connection
