My goal is to design InfoPath forms that can submit data to a SQL database via web services but also pull data from it to use as dropdown choices in the forms. The problem is that the places that these forms will be filled out will not have stable internet connections. What would be the best solution for this?
Thanks.

Hi, Tibby08 - I deleted the other post since you wanted to have your post here. Hope that's okay with you. In the future, if you feel you've posted to the wrong forum, feel free to send me a private message or email me, and I'll be more than happy to move your post, okay? Have a great day, and I hope your other user is able to use ...

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your reply to this post, but I'm actually working on a SharePoint calculated column formula. The above rules relate to an InfoPath form, do you know how I can condense my formula to achieve what I need in a SharePoint calculated column?

And I feel that you are being answered quite the same again (what is not surprising having the ...

Hi Michael,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. This is a feature that I have throught about in the past, but it seems that we have not found a need to implement it so far.
This kind of functionality should be possible to implement using qRules, with the caveat that it would not be browser compatible. I have added the feature ...

Actually, it looks like in that sample, you'll only ever have the last entry. I modified this a just a smidge. :-)

If she is using SharePoint 2010, Quick Publish will make it easier. I think you do have to save the template locally after opening in edit mode, then you can make changes and use Quick Publish to republish a bit more painlessly.

Yes, this is how the other user is editting the template but it's in read-only mode. I think I'm going to have her save to local and try to figure out how to republish, that's what I've had her try and it didn't seem to work in the past but today we've made a bit of progress.
To the other person who responded to this post ...

If you have a required field in the child group, you can use a conditional SQL mapping. So, for example, if you have a my:Price under the repeating child group, you would set this up (manually, in DAT):
my:RepeatingChildGroup[my:price != ""]
I think this is covered in the DBXL training with some examples, but if you can't find it ...
