Another Sharepoint user can't edit the form library Infopath template I published.

I've created a Sharepoint v4 form library and have then editted its template and published it. However, when a coworker of mine attempts to edit that template, she can only bring it up in "read-only" mode. I've tried giving her the same access as I have, it doesn't seem to resolve the issue.

I've searched for a similar issue a few months ago but didn't find anything that helped - I found this today http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/21669/75204.aspx#75204 so I'm asking if the user can edit the template in a new doc library to try to determine if the issue lies at the WSS level (shouldn't, she has the same permissions as I do) or only happens when another user has created the template. Meanwhile, if anyone has any suggestions, would be happy to hear them.

Hi - is the user opening up the Library Settings page, and under Advanced, clicking Edit Template?

It is the duplication of already posted and discussed before question.
This is confusing to dupe the same questions and against common netiquette.
I believe it is better to keep this discussion in one place, the first one.

Yes, this is how the other user is editting the template but it's in read-only mode. I think I'm going to have her save to local and try to figure out how to republish, that's what I've had her try and it didn't seem to work in the past but today we've made a bit of progress.

To the other person who responded to this post but locked his post so I can't reply: Understood - if I could delete the other post from that other section, I would have but I didn't see how to do that. I felt it was more appropriate to post this in the proper location than to worry about a dupe post.

If she is using SharePoint 2010, Quick Publish will make it easier. I think you do have to save the template locally after opening in edit mode, then you can make changes and use Quick Publish to republish a bit more painlessly.

And I feel that you are being answered quite the same again (what is not surprising having the exactly the same question) you was or have already being answered before in first dupe. And I feel it is wrong that you want to delete already started (if not completed) answers.

Inability to edit a published template on Sharepoint without its downloading (albeit saving albeit copying from another client computer) to a local computer seems to me as quite obvious since a changed template should be republished (in order to have changes in published template) which is usually being done from external copy (or I do not understand what is publishing which is not the same as just uploading+editing-on-Sharepoint) and usually from Infopath Designer (which is dealing with templates locally and requiring their local saving in order to publish them).

Hi, Tibby08 - I deleted the other post since you wanted to have your post here. Hope that's okay with you. In the future, if you feel you've posted to the wrong forum, feel free to send me a private message or email me, and I'll be more than happy to move your post, okay? Have a great day, and I hope your other user is able to use Quick Publish to make republishing easier - as a side note, I think the behavior was different in IP / ShP 2007, so if the change to 2010 is a recent one, that could easily cause some confusion. :-)
