Hi Nikunj,
You could cache the secondary data source in the form template so that it will be part of the XSN. It will require that the XSN be copied to the local desktop whenever you update it, but 5000 items is not that huge so maybe this is acceptable. On load performance should be quite fast if everything's local.
Unfortunately, trying to ...

The delete button is just there for the sample - it is not needed for your solution.
We have lots of customers using the default data solution to copy values in.
It's better than code because it doesn't have hardcoded xpaths in it and won't require maintenance. In addition, it doesn't require site collection admin to deploy for ...

Hi David,
The column ID issues are vexing. I was talking to another person at the SharePoint User Group last Thursday and she was having the same issues. We have solved this countless times, and I think we even have tools that admins can run to fix site columns. I need to check with the guy that deals with this more often. We will plan a weekly ...

I recently realized in almost the end of my creation process that the browser form do not support copy paste functionality from Excel. To set the scene - I am not able to implement Qdabra software,so the only way is to find a existing suitable solution on and was looking for some hints and tips on the web. Unfortunately I am not (yet) ...

Hmm. I think you are not going to be able to do this with your current limitations. You have to make a change to the list item in order to indicate something has happened permanently.
If you opened each form and had a checkbox to check off that you had verified the work for the form you could then promote that to SP and see it in the view.
You ...

You can loop through the values of all the "Fields A"s in code. Create a flag field in your schema named "FieldBShow". If any of the "Field A"s are set to "A", then set that flag to true. If none of them are, set it to false. Then create a formatting rule that hides "Field B" based on whether ...

You are going to have to check to see if the point (.) exists in the string and then check out the length of what remains after the point. There is no if..then..else method in XPath 1.0, but you might be able to use something like this
