  • Conditional Formatting problems

I have a browser-enabled form with a Date Picker bound to a query field on the main data source. I also have a Repeating Table bound to data fields on the main data source. I set up conditional formatting on one of the columns in the repeating table that compares a data field on the main data source (which contains a date) with the date that the ...

  • Re: Postback problem

In further experimentation, I found that if I upload the new version of the form template (with the ''Always'' postback option) via Central Administration, then it works. If I use the target web site and deactivate the feature, upload the new version, then reactivate the feature, it doesn't pick up the changes.

  • Postback problem

I have a form that loads data from a secondary data source (via a web service) into a drop-down list box when the form is loaded. I have added a ''changed'' event handler to the drop-down list box that executes a WebServiceConnection on the main data source. The results of this are loaded into a repeating table. All of this works fine in the ...

  • Re: Publishing problem

More information... This happens after I have edited the manifest.xsf file to point to a different DCL. Maybe you're not supposed to do that, but how else do you update the form template if the DCL location changes?

  • Publishing problem

After publishing a form successfully using the publishing wizard, my InfoPath Form project (in VS2005) seems to get messed up and won't publish correctly anymore. Normally when I choose ''publish'' I get a screen with a few options on where to publish. I use the option that says, ''To a SharePoint server with or without InfoPath Forms ...

  • Convert Data Connection

I created a data connection to a web service and tested it successfully, now I want to convert it to a UDC in a DCL under OFS. I created the DCL and followed the directions athttp://ddydevvm01:35725/sites/InfoPath%20Site%20Collection/InfoPath%20Site%20Collection%20DCL/Forms/AllItems.aspx on ''How to: Create and Use a Data Connection Library''. ...

  • Re: Creating a Data Connection Library (DCL) in OFS

The original web application within the new SSP (''Forms SSP'') that I created is identified as the ''Administration site host''. Since the automatically generated web application on the original, default SSP that is identified as the ''Administration site host'' also didn't allow for the creation of a DCL, but the other automatically generated ...

  • Re: Creating a Data Connection Library (DCL) in OFS

Thanks for the reply! I recently tried to set up OFS and used it with some success talking to a SQL Server database with a simple form that had no code behind it. (I loaded it as an administrator, not a user, even though in that case, it wasn't necessary.) Then I created a more complex form in VS2005 that uses web services and has code behind ...

  • Creating a Data Connection Library (DCL) in OFS

I've installed OFS on a server using the single machine option and, as per best practices, created a separate SSP to host the Forms web application. In order to use UDCs, which I need for cross-domain data connections, I have to create a Data Connection Library (DCL). The problem is... only the original site that was set up automatically when ...

  • Re: Date validation problem

I had considered that, but the problem is that this is an updatable data source, so the data entered by the user has to be validated as well as the data returned by the initial query. Validating the data at the web service layer when the data is submitted means an extra round trip. (I'm developing this for web use only.) Also, the main reason I ...
