I can't seem to get my head around how to create this repeating table. We have 2 SharePoint lists. List A has a number of service items. List B stores the comments related to those service items, using the ID from List A to match them up. I would like to create a repeating table of List A items, with the related List B items listed ...

I've noticed that when accessing a web based infopath form in a document set from a link rather than from the item, the user is routed to the document set library rather than that specific document set the "Source" parameter is pointing to. This becomes an issue when one want to present forms from a link as opposed to a library ...

Hi Tom and thanks again for posting,
The qRules OpenUrlInBrowser is not browser compatible.
I would recommend using Web parts for this with connections in between them. We covered this in Module 11 of class.
You can create a page with an InfoPath Web Part on top and a Content Web part underneath. The form on top sets fields that are ...

Hi RRajan,
The first issue seems like either a) user not connected to internet, or b) resource issue on server. Please make sure users are online and that the server has enough RAM and CPU to handle the requests. For 2007 I would recommend 8Gb RAM and a minimum dual proc 2.5Ghz or above. If you already have that, try doubling to 16Gb and quad ...

Hi Kamishiro-san and thanks for posting.

If you need to type in a separate text field you could add an "other" button that hides the dropdown and displays a text box for typing. If you need to select multiple items, try adding the dropdown to a repeating section. I don't ...

Yes, you can add a SharePoint workflow with an Impersonation Step that removes the permissions on the newly added items. Or, you could simply copy the submitted item from your "open" list to one that is "restricted" and delete the copy from the open list.
Easy to do with out-of-box workflows.

Hi Jazz with a Back Beat,
Did your database change? If not, I'm guessing the XSN got corrupted in which case, it's back the "last known good".
I guess it's all about timing.
Cheers,

Hi KV,
Since you said you had multiple lists, I'll assume you are using InfoPath form and not the list forms.
1. Best practice when you have to modify the form is to always add fields to the data source. That way, XMLs saved with previous versions will automatically open with the new one. If you have to make a data source modification that ...

Are there any data connections in the form? Are those pointing to UDCs that are relative or central?
