Hi Hilary,
I have attached my contact XML tables and a screen shot of part of my form. As you can see, there is a drop down to select a company. When the company is selected, the contact person and their details needs to be loaded into the relevant fields.
I hope this makes sense?

i know this is an old post, but I am racking my brain on trying to get this to work in InfoPath 2010. I am new to using InfoPath and self-taught - and not a programmer by trade. I've developed a form using checkboxes as part of it and when I print it out it looks fine. However, when some of my colleagues use the form and print the checkboxes are coming out black. Is there a way to get round this or change it, we cannot use the form if it is coming out like that!

So - in your drop down, what is the field that is being used for the value? Is it ContactPerson? Your current XPath says "I'd like the CONTACTPERSON field from Contacts where CONTACTPERSON is equal to the field bound to the dropdown list". Is this being used in a rule or a default value?

Can you please check and see if Refresh is working? When you open your form, after the Refresh command runs, there should be something in the results node - even just that the items match. You may need to disable other commands that run after Refresh to verify this, or copy the results node to another field.
