Hi All,
I am using SharePoint 2010 and InfoPath 2010.
I do not have q-rules (yet).
I have a custom list which includes a couple of managed
metadata fields.
Because of the managed metadata I want to use the default
SharePoint Add/Edit/Display screens to Add/Edit/Display on the list. But I would like a “Pretty” display for a
subset of the data (no managed meta data) for the home page.
I thought I would use InfoPath to create a display of the
subset and then use the InfoPath web part to display. – No code solution.
I have created the "Pretty" InfoPath form to display the data - added a rule to run a query on open and it all works great locally.
However in order to use the InfoPath webpart the form needs
to be published to the list.
As soon as it is published to the list, the SharePoint add/edit/display
get changed to InfoPath – and the managed metadata fields cannot be used.
Am I missing something ? Is what I am trying feasible ?
Thank you for your time
