Maybe you need to add parentheses around the terms in your OR expressions to make sure that the entire OR is evaluated as opposed to just the first term. :)
It's the same idea as in albebra - if your formula has multiplication and addition, you need to put parentheses around your plus signs... ...

Why are you using code at all for this?
Just do filtering - it's a lot easier and lower cost to maintain.

Repeating fields are not a best practice because they are
hard to map to separate database rows and can cause form logic to fail when accessing fields after the repeating one.
I recommend creating a group called Roles with another repeating group underneath it called Role and a field called Name inside of that.

InfoPath dates are formatted differently from SharePoint column dates, and now() returns a date and a time, not just a date.
The format you should be using is 2013-04-21T09:19:30 where the date is before the T and the time is after.
This will allow you to use the string functions to compare whether one date is greater than another.

Filter: ID = Value
Background: Selected values from SharePoint list which do not match my filter condition were displayed as id instead of display text. With additional filter ID = Value the display text is displayed.
