Good to know I'm not alone in this :) But I'm not sure recreating the whole form is an option, considering the several months I've already spent on it. Do you mean that this would be caused by InfoPath glitching out because of the amount of content in the form? Sure seems like that! I am okay from going back to a starting point ...

Not sure if it's possible with an external data source, yet is your drop list format the same i.e. productname - number KG. if so you might be able to use an inbuilt substring function to extract the number. Then it would be a question of doing the math on that number. Might have to play around so that the extracted item is recognised as ...

If you connect to your SharePoint List List Tools>List>Customize Form. You can use the list new item box as a "template".
Also how are you adding items to the list without the form? Add new item at the bottom of your list? - then the above may be your best bet. Otherwise the look and feel of the Infopath form could be ...

How do ...

I do have the ID and URL of the attachment.

Hi - to delete an attachment in an InfoPath form, you shouldn't need code - your button can just set the attachment field to blank. As to deleting the same file from a SharePoint list - what information do you have about the list item in the form? Do you know the ID, or the URL of the attachment? I use the DeleteAttachment Lists web ...

Hello, before I go any further I must disclose that I am a civilian i.e NOT an IT person. So your patience is greatly appreciated.
I stumbled up SharePoint on our corporate Intranet and have created some basic lists for my Team which have literally revolutionised how we record data. Things have proceeded well, and now that I have ...

Hi Ernesto,
It may not seem obvious from my previous post, but the Form XML allows the user to delete repeating table rows, which in turn have to be deleted from the destination SP List. That particular piece (deletion) did not work without the attribute on the ID field.
Another advantage is that the Form user knows, that something is ...
