• Re: data validation using custom pattern

You'll get a red asterisk in the control if none of the data validations are met. One thing to remember, rules only fire when the field's (within the rules) value changes. Therefore, N will only become NA, if you manually select Z from your A dropdown. If you wish this rule to fire automatically when you open or preview the ...

  • Re: InfoPath 2007 with Sql Server 2008

Hello, The error may mean you don't have the necessary permissions to the SQL database. To accomplish connection, you must have the permissions to query and submit to your database. Hope that helps!

  • Re: data validation using custom pattern

Hello and welcome to the forum! For your second data validation (A=Y), you can actually separate your two conditions (7 or 8) using "OR" in the dropdown. So in this data validation, you will have a total of three conditions: A = Y (and) N = 7/d/d/d/d/d/d (or) N = 8/d/d/d/d/d/d Hope that helps!

  • Re: Content type - COlumn status

Hi Krishna, Welcome to the forum! If I'm not mistaken, there is a checkbox in your list settings > columns section, that you can uncheck to make a specific column "not required". Have you checked on that? Cheers!

  • Re: Using formulas to populate the cc email field

Hi Beblue, Welcome to the forum! How are you checking if the main email address is valid or not? Your guess is that it throws error when an invalid email address is populated in the CC field, correct? How about adding a conditional formatting to your Submit button that checks if the email address (the one that's supposed to populate your CC ...

  • Re: Difficulty Connecting to DbxlDocumentService

Hi infopathic, Welcome to the forum! Nice handle. :) If I'm understanding the issue correctly, you want to use the GetErrorCount command using qRules, right? DbxlDocumentService is one of Qdabra's DBXL web services, and as far as I know, the GetErrorCount command does not require DBXL. In order to use this command in your InfoPath ...
