Below is an error message I have received on installation of the product I have developed.

The required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is not installed on your computer, or the InfoPath Primary Interop Assembly (PIA) is not registered.
Use Add or remove Programs in Control Panel to make sure the required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is installed.
Or install it using Windows Update and run the Setup program again to confirm that the corresponding version of the .NET Programmability Support is installed,

I am the administrator.
My thoughts are, I need to locate the version of .NET that I have and upgrade the system of the site I am installing the product.
(TODAY FRI 5pm,
I found I have Version 3.5, does that mean anything?
And what is the current version, or is my version too new for the client??)
Or, there is something else, possibilities of which I cannot think of.
As background. I have been developing this system over 8 months, and having many issues.
I found I had stupid errors, like an infinite loop error message coming up, because too many fields were linked.
Perhaps (the current issue is related?) there are other similar issues too that are now only appearing???
I have recently added Infomation Rights Management (IRM). And now I find that every version of the system (even ones written 6 months ago) looks to the IRM.
And this applies to all Microsoft products. How do you get rid of it????
It was my attempt, over the simplistic attempts in Infopath, at protecting my system from copyright and plagiarism. Do you know any better here too???
Looking forward to some bright ideas for a solution.
Thanks in advance
Well folks I found the following fault on the web regarding the .NET version 3.5. I think it relates to all the trouble I have been suffering.
All you bookworms, start reading. Maybe find solutions for me too!!
Refer to this web site http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/31937950/net-framework-35-breaks.aspx
And the code I am referring to is copied below:-

NET Framework 3.5 breaks InfoPath - Era |
| Hello. I have been dealing a problem for two weeks and finally i figured itout. The problem is all my infopath forms (with C# codes) stopped workingsuddenly. I have been trying to find out why and finally i did it. I do notknow how or why it is happining but after computers installed .net framework3.5, all the codes behind the forms started to give security error. My formswork fine because when i try to use that from a computer which has no .net3.5, they work like a charm. So i do not know that is a bug or somethingelse, but what i know is .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 BREAKS INFOPATH Forms anduninstalling the .net does not solve the problem. What am supposed to do now?Reformat all the computers(that is not an option by the way)?**************************************************************************************************************** |
