I believe for anyone to answer this they are going to want to know the type of control you are using and what is your data source?  Are you using a dropdown control, textbox, listbox?  Are you retrieving data from SharePoint list or SQL database to fill the control or are you typing in values? and what version of InfoPath?

Adding another symptom: When viewing this into the SharePoint browser, the above XHTML tags do not populate. The form is just blank. However, when you revert the fields to Plain Text, the content populates the form just fine.

I have a request from a user that wants a submit button on a form that not only submits the current form, but opens a new iteration of the same form once the current form is submitted. Has anybody done this and if so, how can I facilitate that? Thanks.
