Dropdown List with Pre-Populated Information Won't Allow Change

    InfoPath 2007 & SharePoint 2007

I have a form with several dropdown fields listing various percentage ranges that are stored in a SharePoint List.  My form is also pulling information from another list to prepopulate these same fields to provide the sales team with the current value. So my dropdown field has available values of say 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% & 100% with a rule on that field to set the value to the corresponding field in the second list.  So if the existing value is 25% that is what is populated in the field.  However, is the sales team tries to change the selection in the form to another selection from the dropdown, like 75%, they can't select it, well, they can select it but the field reverts to 25%

     What am I missing?

     Thanks

Are you using a default value in the field instead of setting it via rules? That could cause this. Are your rules firing again when you don't expect them to? That is - you aren't just setting the field when it is blank? That could also cause this... :)

It's definitely done by rules. The Stop processing box is checked. My rule says: Condition - If Field A is present Action: Set a field's value Current Field Fromula - Corresponding field from SP list, filtered by Field A matching Field AB in SP list. Make sense?

Where is the rule? Why "is present" instead of "is blank"?
