The best link I can see on how to do this with 2007 is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc162745(v=office.12).aspx I would encourage you to get a copy of Infopath 2010 because it is simplier and still published to SharePoint 2007.  You can get a single license for about 150 or buy the whole office suite it is included in.  ...

Due to some support requirements, I won't be able to admin publish it. Doesn't sound like you've run into this kind of issue before. I was hoping there was a known cause. So I guess there's no way to use SSO SQL credentials in a Browser-based form with code.
