• Re: Count digital signatures?

Hi Katherine, Probably the easiest thing to do is to have a little code in your form that intercepts the OnSign event and increments a field. You could tie it to submit and do it in a rule (without code) but that would assume they sign it before submitting.

  • Re: Using an Infopath Form to Capture Data to Mysite Fields

Hi PriestB and welcome, qRules can help you map InfoPath form data (XML) to a SharePoint list. Is the profile for your employees a list? If so, it would likely work. You can easily try it and see. Best practices ... your goal is pretty simple. You'll want to make sure that other applications don't modify the SharePoint data directly, ...

  • Re: unable to recive data through Webservice

The data connection dialog for receive Web Service adaptors has a screen to set sample values for input parameters ... make sure the sample data in this is something that will return more than one row of data.

  • Re: Do repeating tables work with refresh button, um don't think so?

To the secondary data source. Right click the control and choose "Change binding". Select the secondary data source in the dropdown. OK. Good to go! :)

  • re: Using DBXL with Existing Databases

Update: Hilary Stoupa wrote a blog with examples of how to use DBXL on existing SQL databases: www.infopathdev.com/.../use-dbxl-submit-with-existing-sql-data.aspx. While we update top-level tables in place, we choose to do cascading deletes for child and grandchild (etc.) tables because an update would require a tight coupling and the whole ...

  • re: InfoPath Forms 101: Codeless = Less Cost

Hi Sunjay, Sorry for the delay in responding. Basically, for SharePoint 2010, the same gaps exist and DBXL is still needed to codelessly submit XML forms to SQL. You can submit flat lists to SharePoint and using BCS push and pull that data to SQL but to do repeating tables and rich data types, you still need a Web Service and that's what DBXL ...

  • Re: Global Access List (GAL) button

Hi Lawson, InfoPath 2003 doesn't come with the contact selector - that's basically what you want. Another option would be to use Qdabra's Active Directory Contact Selector - that'll work in InfoPath 2003, but to use the cool XTP sample that comes with the download, you'll have to design your form in IP2007 and after adding ...

  • Re: Automatically generate new form in web browser

Hi Jarek, The above code requires full trust and won't work with browser forms since those forms are stored in SharePoint not on your C drive. You could use input parameters to create a form based on a button click. Then, you could add an open rule to automatically submit to SharePoint data connection and that would store a form for you in ...

  • Re: access denied problem

Hi Evvo1961, Does your Web Service pass the credentials to SQL? You could test Qdabra's DBXL which pulls data from SQL and does impersonate the user correctly. Free download on the Qdabra site. Probably a 15 minute exercise (disclaimer: Qdabra is the sponsor of this free forum). Otherwise, you'll need to look at the code for your Web ...

  • Re: InfoPath Form Subscriptions based on Another InfoPath form answer

Hi BDonnell, That's a good solution. You can use SharePoint Designer to create a custom view that takes the group data from the "profile" form and uses it to filter the actual "bulletin" forms from the other library. You could also map both to SQL and create a data view on top of it. Lots of options. Let us know if you ...
