Hi there,
All I could find is that you detect whether the form is being open in the browser or not (this.Application.Environment.IsBrowser), but couldn't find if you can distinguish what browser the user is running. If anyone knows of a way, I'd be interested in finding out too :)

An InfoPath form will eventually time out if opened for too long meaning you won't be able to keep a form open indefinitely. I suppose you could increase that timeout setting in central admin, but not sure if you can set it to infinite nor would think it would be safe to do so. Hope this helps.

Glad to hear everything worked out :)

That's a good question. As I understand it, document libraries simply allow more flexibility than form libraries do in case your scenario requires it. It would be easier to migrate over from document to form library than vice versa I would imagine. Otherwise, you're right it does seem odd that it wouldn't default ...

Hi there,
What I would recommend is to have two dropdown list boxes on your form that displays data from both tables. Then you want to add formatting rules on each dropdown control such that when the option button value is the other value hide this control. This should give you the behaviour that you want. Hope that helps!

I believe this is a limitation with Infopath browser forms that you cannot copy rows in repeating tables. You could try creating your own copy paste behaviour in the browser using buttons, temp variables and rules. It would probably be a bit of work to set it up, but at least it might be ab alternative you could look into.

I would try the SPD conditional formatting rules that I mentioned earlier and see if that does the trick for you. I'm not super familiar with them since my realm of expertise is mainly InfoPath :) Good luck!

Are you doing this in the client or the browser? Is this a form library or sharepoint list form?
How are you setting up the other two file attachment controls to make them not attachable?

Hi there,
Did you try using conditional formatting in SharePoint designer to do this? Are you using InfoPath at all in your solution or is it all SharePoint?

Perhaps you can create some logic in your views so that you can show/hide certain sections based on what button was pressed. As long as you have a way to keep track of what view you are on and what button you pressed (I would use some temp variables) then you can create some logic (ie. Rules) that will show/hide sections using these ...
