What you want is to add a calculated value control and enter a formula that calculates the maximum value in the Bid column in your sharepoint list, filtered to include only Bids for the current Item (I'm assuming that you also have an Item column in your list that is used to distinguish between different items). Here's an idea: switch to a new view where a link is displayed and instruct the user to click that link. You will design the link as a Hyperlink control, and its default value will contain the URL to the page you are designing and a formula to append the query parameters. That way, you can put a link to this page on, say, your homepage and say ...

Hi Drew,
There are two options for running a workflow automatically: run when created, and run when changed. What about deselecting the "run when created" option? That way the workflow would only run on existing items, which is what you want. Does that make sense?

Hello from The USA!
What you need is a new True/False Boolean field in the form. For the purposes of my explanation, let's call this field Locked. The default value for Locked should be FALSE. Now, add a rule to your Submit button that sets Locked to TRUE when the button is clicked (i.e. no ...
