If you have a static list of approvers, you can hard code them into the form in a number of ways. I wouldn't think you'd need to use a people picker at all. For example, if you are emailing this form to approver 1, then approver 2 and so on, you could hardcode this in workflow in SharePoint Designer, or you could have a "To" ...

My guess would be that your repeating tables are actually bound to a secondary data source - is that correct? If so - it is pretty tricky to save that data. You can use code or third party extensions to write the data back to lists in SharePoint, for example - and there are some other techniques you can use to copy the data into your form's ...

So - just to recap what we discussed in email - there were formatting rules still in some views that were causing the errors. Here's a way to help find those rules - 1) Save the form as source files. 2) Search the source file location for xdXDocument:get-Role() -that will show you which files still have rules with Role conditions. It may be ...

Hey, great job figuring it out - the learning curve at the beginning can seem a bit steep. One thing that helped me a lot was just dragging my various data sources onto the form, making sure all the data was displayed in text controls so I could see the actual values of stuff - especially when working with secondary data sources. It is easy to ...

It would help me if I could see a copy of your form (the one where you started from a blank form) - you can attach it under Options in a reply. As to why your blank form doesn't have query fields in the main data source - those are only there with data bound forms. For a form where you start from blank, there is nothing in the main data source ...

Hey, Laurie - can you email me the form? I'd like to see if I can make it behave - do you have my email? If not, click on my profile, send me an email via the forum (you won't be able to attach a file to that) and I'll reply so you can send it along. :-)

I'm not sure how to do this with a list form - when you submit, does the form still show the data for the item you just submitted? If so, is the ID field in the data fields now populated? If it is, maybe you can set your secondary data source query field to the ID to query for the item? Then just use a calculated value or something on the form ...

Oh, it seems possible for sure. So - this is a calc'd field in your form library that your form submits to? You can add a data connection to query the library, and there's an option you can select to return data for this form only. There's a checkbox you can deselect so that the query doesn't run when the form opens - you don't ...

And I see I didn't actually answer your question - you would need at least one field in the form where you have a calculated default - then you can use that for your Picture Hyperlink - but I think you got all that figured out already. :)

Perfect, your solution is just fine - or you could have used the concat function with hardcoded strings, like: concat("https://job.jb.org/User%20Photos/Profile%20Pictures/", usernamefield,"_LThumb.jpg")
