In an existing InfoPath 2013 form that I am working with, there are edits in the custom form that uses a custom list. Which is ok. The problem is it is hard to find all the errors if there are a lot of errors.
What I would like to do is have an error message display in red under every column where errors are located after the user hits the ...

Ok, This is going to be a rough one, but hopefully I can spell it out, and someone can let me know if something is possible or not.
I created a form in infopath to emulate a client intake form for my company. One of the aspects of this form is it unfortunately needs to be signed off by 26 (twenty six!) different individuals. As you can imagine, ...

I'm glad you got this sorted out. To clarify, InfoPath does not require a submit button - we often just use a regular button with rules and actions - so it may be something else is up with your form.

I've just encountered another error.
Basically because the button I use to submit the data is no longer a 'submit' button it doesn't do any validation to check if all the required fields have been answered.
This means if people miss out questions and press submit, they'll receive an error ...

Hi again,
I've managed to get round the issue by the following:Create a normal button and add the view switch and then data submission rules to it.Create a submit button and add the data submission to it, but remove it from the page so its non-clickable. (it seems InfoPath requires a submit button) Thank you ...

Hi Hilary,
I've tried adding view switching on the button but it will never change to view2, instead it will reload view1.
I've tried using a regular button and removing the submit button but I can't publish the form because there's no real 'submit button'.

Hi Glenn,
What is it specifically that you are asking about? Are you asking about how to verify a user's credentials against a database? Or how to set up a view to allow the user to enter their password?
