Hi -- it seems to me that the file name you are submitting would be the same as the name of the file you have open. In your submit connection, did you set the form to overwrite if there was an existing version with the same name?

Hi:
I'm totally confused.
File attachement controls ARE allowed in browser forms
If your data structure is correct, there is no reason the previously attached attachment would repeat
Simply drag a repeating section onto the form, then drag a file attachment control into that repeating section. InfoPath will generate a data source ...

When you say 'redirect form to that URL' do you mean submit the completed form to the same library? I don't think you'll be able to do that without code (or the upcoming v2.0 release of qRules, which will have a command for changing the submit url). Here's an interesting blog post on using code for this.

Hi:
As far as I know, the first scenario you described should work -- at least I've done that with SQL in the past and haven't had any troubles. I'm not sure if the sample db described in this article has an auto incrementing id, but I'd imagine it would....

Hi -- as I mentioned in the email to you on this issue, please verify that your DBXL submit connection is set up as shown in the Getting Started documentation -- set to include the entire XML subtree and submitted as a string.

If you want a way to cancel the delete, I'd think you'd want to do the whole thing in code. Here's a link to a little message box ...

I'm afraid that "Show a dialog box message" won't give the user a chance to cancel. That means you'd need to use code for your pop up.... However, what about moving your buttons to opposite sides? So that your delete button is on one side and your update on another? That would cut down on the user error factor...
If you are ...

I don't think you are being ignored, but that there isn't a way to do this that anyone knows of. It could probably be done with code, I suppose... modify the location for the data source.

Hmmm. Most posts around the double eval() method are used to concatenate together things like email addresses, separating with a semicolon. That being said, I'd think you could use the double eval() method here, with a space for the separator, instead of a semi-colon. The InfoPath Team Blog has a good post about double eval() here. Now, your ...
