Insert new record into Access database

I have a Db with 6 fields. One of the fields is the primary key that auto increments, I have the InfoPath form connected to the DB. I am trying to do the following:

When an end user opens the form, I want them to fill out the 5 text boxes and click submit button. When the submit button is clicked, I would like the data to go to the corresponding fields.  When I test this, I get the following error:  Infopath cannot submit the form.  The form does not contain any new data to submit to the data source.

I set up a second data source without the auto increment field and the data submitted without error.

So I guess my question is:  How do I force the primary key field in the access database to auto generate when the form is submitted?

    Hi:

As far as I know, the first scenario you described should work -- at least I've done that with SQL in the past and haven't had any troubles. I'm not sure if the sample db described in this article has an auto incrementing id, but I'd imagine it would....
