Hi Patrick,
Your very own Greg Collins wrote the article I was referencing when trying to submit data to an SQL database.

Unless Infopath has been updated since this article was published... it seemed like I was out of luck with ntext characters. Anyway, I'm ...

My problem is that I compare a form with another form. I compare the forms by using the Word functionaliy. It takes a few seconds and the user have to wait so long. My suggestion is using threads in InfoPath?

Thank you for the link.
I have added a progress bar as ActiveX control in InfoPath. It is
showing in the form at run-time but no the progress. If is finishing
the process then is showing the progress.
How can I implement that the progress bar is refreshing at the run-time
when process is running.

Hi Grizeen,
This is no doubt a problem with the form. Probably because it's not set up to update the Access DB correctly. Are you the author of the form?

Hi Clive,
I am not aware of this issue, but timeout issues are frequent with SharePoint. How often do you see this?

Hi again,
Not sure regarding the ntext. In general, you can get this info if you write your own code to access SQL. I don't remember why it's a problem with the default data connections wizard. Could be because it can't be validated. I need to refresh my memory. Anyway, what site said ntext wasn't supported? Do you have a link? I can check with ...

Hi Sumeet,
If you modify the schema it will be a problem. You can work around this by always adding optional elements. If the elements are changed, deleted, or not optional, automatic upgrade won't work.

Hi Sumeet,
Yes, our HowTo is specific to SharePoint IDs and not AD. SharePoint uses AD to authenticate users, though.
Hi Anders,
Thanks for the link to Jan Tielen's HowTo. That's a great link!
