I'm still a bit lost. The client has InfoPath installed. You are putting the InfoPath templates (XSN files) on a server. The client has limited access to this server. If you can send the secondary data to the client via e-mail, why not just send a new copy of the form down via e-mail? Same thing, no?
You could stash the XML file in the Internet ...

Sorry for missing the code. What is causing the SQL query to run? You could set some state before and after that and filter on the state. The other thing you could do is disable updates during the SQL query to prevent DOM events but only do that if you are sure the resulting DOM will be valid.

Yeah, my code is in the first message.
OnAfterChange fires twice for each record returned from the query.
I can use e.Operation = ''Insert'' to filter out half the firings, but I really need to filter out ALL the firings for the initial query return, and catch only one when the user changes the value.

The sites have intermittent Internet access on small bandwidth channels --they are cruise ships. The forms are installed from cd, and all data is sent via email, both directions. Secondary data is updated by sending XML files to each client via email. Form data is sent by email directly to the SQL Server to be bulk uploaded.
All forms have full ...

MFaus,
I have tried the ways you mentioned, but have no luck. Perhaps I am not doing it right. I am using VBScript, would there be any difference?

Patrick,
Here's a clue from my intranet W2k server. If my form contains 4M of attachments I hit the httpruntime maxrequestlength default limit of 4096k, I get my error message, as I should. If I increase the maxrequestlength to 8192, it works again. Seems to me my original difficulty might be an IIS running on XP issue. Here's ...

Hello,
I have created a form based on a database in Access (primary connection). I have in this form a repeating cascading drop-down list.
When I use the filter '''First drop-down'='First drop-down''' the cascading list works, however as would be expected with data cross over effects (which gets a bit annoying after few selections).
I got the ...

Patrick,
It comes and goes - yesterday it was all the time. I am at the early testing stage and this was on my localhost (XP pro). I don't think it is timeout issue though - my form get its web service response almost immediately.
Today I am testing on our intranet server (W2K server)without problems, before going to our ISP hosted server. ...
