Hi rjohnson,
I think you're wasting your time with this getDescendents() function! It's already implemented as an XPath axis. Check out this tutorial:
http://www.w3schools.com/xpath/xpath_axes.asp
Also, run this code snippet to get a feel of what's going on:
var nl = XDocument.DOM.selectNodes( ''/my:myFields/descendant::*'' );
var str = ...

Hi,
You can get the child nodes using the ''child::node()'' Xpath.
node.selectNodes(''child::node()'').length should give you the length of the child nodes.

Hi Mario,
You need to convert the Adapter into apropriate type and then call ''Submit'' on that.
For ex: If it is a Webservice adapter
WebserviceAdapter2 xyz = (WebserviceAdapter2)thisXdocument.DataAdapters(''Whatever'')
xyz.Submit()
Similarly for all the ''Adapters'' you need to convert to its actual type and then call submit on that object.

oemail = thisXDocument.DataAdapters.Item(''SubmittoMgr'')
oemail.Submit()
Most of the examples I have ...

Each day I receive a file that I can get in either Word or Excel format. It has information in it that I currently re-type into Infopath forms. I'd like to import one of those file types into these Infopath forms. Is there a way to do this and which application file type would be the easiest?
Thank you, Will

Hmm after re-reading your post im pretty sure your issue isnt related to Code Access Security.
As Abhishek suggested, check if your issue matches this KB issue
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;907652&sd=rss&spid=2520#kb1
Remember you need to have Office 2003 SP2 to apply this fix
