• Re: Listing the value of all fields in the datasource

Hi Shanthi, Thanks for your reply. I tried the selectNodes idea that was given before by Agni, but as noted I couldn't get it to work. When I tried again, I noticed the length of the nodelist is always 1. I however noticed that it shows the number of a repeating section, but this is not what I wanted. After searching the internet, I found an ...

  • Re: Getting the node type, ie: Group or Field.

Hi K.Ramana, Thanks for your reply, However, I don't think that 'childNodes.length' can always guarantee that returning a 0, is always from a field. For example, I noticed that if the field is empty, it will return 0, but if the field contains a value, it will return 1. Contrary, if a ''group'' has no fields in it, it too will return 0. If ...

  • Re: Dealing With Character Limitations???

Thanks for the reply but I don't think I can increase the size of the text filed in Access. Here's the issue I am dealing with. Access limits text fields to 255 characters. It's my understanding if you want to input more than 255 characters into a filed you must use a Memo field. InfoPath does not support long data types and Memo fields are ...

  • Re: user roles problem

Thanks Agni, I want to ask you that '''Should the 'user names' on 'user roles' be network names?'' or can they be ''sharepoint user names''. In my system users can reach the sharepoint sites from their home and there is no network, only himself, so is there a way to identify him and open the form according to the user?

  • Re: OpenFormWithData losing IP reference

Verify the XML that you are opening contains ''<?mso application=”Infopath.Document”>''. If does not you can insert it. If you have it in the XML and stil think that InfoPath is removing it, you can add the PI in the code. Here is the code to do it, string sAttachmentPI = ''mso application='Infopath.Document'''; string sDomXML = ...

Hi Dave, Welcome to the Forum! If you can increase the size of the field in the database then take connection to that table again, then you should be able to accept more than 256 characters.

  • Re: InfoPath access problem in SharePoint

For Full Trust: Tools->FormOption->Security, there you can set full trust. But full trust is not advisable unless until it is necessary. Instead you can take dataconnection to your webservice. InfoPath will refer to the DLL in the manifest.xsf file. You can open manifest.xsf and search for ''.dll'' there you find dll of your project.

Hi does the user currently logged on has administrative rights on the WSS/SPS box in question? to be able to create new sites you need to at least have a role as Web Designer (or have the Create Site or Create Area right -depending on what you create) if you use DefaultCredentials on your web service in managed code, you need to be logged on ...
