Hi Agni,
thanks for your reply. Yes, you are right. I can uncheck the option ''Automatically retrieve when form is opened'' and I can query my webservice in the code.
But do you know how I can check -anyway- if a webservice is just available --- that I can retrieve data.
My problem is not to query the dataconnection itself but to check if I can ...

Thank's.
I already know how to use the Regform. You told me that in that case I also need to set FullTrust security to my form. I want to know if I need it ceacuse Imy code in C# (I dont think that any form in c# requierd FullTrust) ?
OR because in the code I use Web Reference to a Web Service?
Let me know

Hi,
If it is the script then using ActiveX control needs full trust to your form. There are two ways to continue here,
1. Use .net as your code behind and there you don't need full trust to get logged in username.
2. Use AD service webservice to get the loggedIn user details.

Hi Will,
Which XML field are these 4 values binded to? What do you mean by 3 pages? Is it 3 views? Can you please make your question clear.

Hi Karsten,
You need uncheck the option ''Automatically retrieve when form is opened'' when you are taking the connection and query the webservice ''on button click'' or in the code.
You can add rules to your button to query the dataconnection.
In the code you need get the webservice adapter and query that.

Hi Abhishek,
The problem with using the new button is it clears all the data in the fields. I want to be able to open the saved form, which will open with all the fields prefilled, and when I click on submit, it creates new records instead of overwriting the old ones.
The saved form contains multiple records, as many as 50.

Gillian

You could try Thread.Sleep in managed code.
What are you trying to achieve?

Hi,
how exactly do you create this MSI?
You need to use Regform.exe and not a setup project in VS.NET

If your form contains C# code, you'll need to either sign it with a code certificate or create an MSI installer with the RegForm tool.
