• Delete File from SharePoint

There are times when we want to delete a file in SharePoint. To do this we need to call UpdateListItems web method in the Lists.asmx SharePoint web service. This document goes into the details of how to delete a file present in a form library in SharePoint. Create InfoPath project:Open Visual Studio and create a new InfoPath project. Copy the ...

You can also take the password in a custom task pane using the <input type=''password''> HTML element.

• Re: Making a function "sleep"

You can use the setTimeout() javascript method within a custom task pane. I don't know if you'll be able to get the setTimeout() method to work from within your form code, but I know I have done it in a task pane before. Hope this helps!

• Re: custom .dll error

Hello Anders. Sorry for the tardy reply. I created all of the MSIs via Regform.exe, not directly in VS.NET. Also, I'm certain that I'm using the correct version of Regform -- the one that deals with 2.0 managed code, not 1.1. At this point, I've tested the MSIs on a couple of machines and am getting mixed results. It all works on one machine ...

• Re: error opening infopath documents on sharepoint

Just a quick follow up for informational purposes and closure. Thanks to all for their consideration. As you were recomending it was most certainly an IT issue. When we finally got to the right people we were told there was new hardware placed on one of our national gateways that ''filtered out IP forms.'' This was adjusted and voila; back in ...
• Re: Webservice availability...

You can put your code in try-catch block, if the webservice is not available then exception is raised by InfoPath and your catch block can perform what should happen if webservice is not available.

• Re: Add Sharepoint List Items with InfoPath

Mike, Since this is probably getting off-topic we should establish another thread. But briefly (if you are writing your solution in managed code), I would highly recommend reading an excerpt from Patrick Halstead, Mandava-Teredesai and Matthew Blain's book, ''Developing Solutions with Microsoft InfoPath''. There are two chapters that go into ...

• Re: Adding with jscript items to a listbox

Hi Fred, Change your last two lines of code to the following then it should work, var oFromItem = oToItem.CloneNode(false); oFromItem.text = ''XData''; oToList.insertBefore(oFromItem, oToItem); Mistake you did was to add string value as a node.

• Re: Retrieving the Logged On UserName in a Form

Thanks for replying Agni. I don't know how to use .Net instead of using the Java script code, but I should probably look into that. However, yesterday, we tried the ADService Webservice and it worked beautifully. We should have done that 3 days ago in stead of spending all the time trying to figure it out ourselves. I still think future ...
