  • Re: Multi fields

Yes you can do that. What you need to do is create the first field on the first view. Then switch to another view. In the task pane at the top click the title and select ''Data Source'' from the dropdown. Then you will see the element for the field you added. Drag that element into the view and it will put in a control (field) for that. When ...

  • Re: Add Sharepoint List Items with InfoPath

No it never worked before because I kept getting folloiwn error ''List does not exist''. But once I updated the Web service URL to point to the sub site web service, that error stopped and I got the success message. However I cant see the item in the sharepoint list. And I dont think the default 100 items is the problem as my list is new and I ...

  • Re: Timecard

This is an interesting scenario. When we originally designed this all the examples we saw were for weekly timecards. I'm curious what your scenario is that you need to submit two weeks at a time. Thanks. :)

  • Re: How call two connections data after send form?

You could also use rules for this if you like. This is described in:http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1956 It's not obvious, but using rules on a button you can submit to two data connections at the same time (two separate rule actions) without having to write code.

  • Re: After press button Save: save form and send e-mail

Note, it's not always obvious but using rules you can actually setup two submits to happen one after the other. I suggest doing the save to SharePoint first and then the email submit. This is because the email submit requires user intervention and so it's better to get the SharePoint one out of the way first.

  • Re: Merge Grouping

Hello, welcome to our forum. I noticed that your post has a lot of views but no replies. Creating custom merge is a very complex area in InfoPath which is probably why no one has ventured to answer your question yet. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat. It's not easy to do. Hopefully my response will pull this back to the top and get one of ...

  • Re: Multiple list boxes

To actually format the email itself for the submit email adapter you would have to write custom code to format an email message and the form might need to be Full Trust. However, if you don't use the submit email adapter and just have the user click File::Send to Mail Recipient, then the email sent actually has a snapshot of the form in the body ...

  • Re: Filtering Secondary Datasource

Have you tried changing the main data source element in question to a type of just Date instead of Date/Time? If you set that then only the date is populated into the XML since the datatype only allows for a date. This could solve your problem.

  • Re: Repeating Table

The interesting thing about your question is that it seems that you want the second repeating table with dropdown to not just show the values but to actually populate the values. What I don't understand is how do you want to control which dropdown in the first repeating table controls the second repeating table? What happens if you do the above ...

  • Re: Data validation Problem

The correct Data Validation structure for only allowing positive numbers in the Data Validation dialog is: field x ''is less than or equal to'' 0 This is because the dialog is asking you to give it the error condition. When invalid. This is easy to confuse. I do it all the time. :)
