  • Re: Sending Link to Create New Form

Hello The link should be a path to your template.xsn. When user clicks the link they will recieve an open/save/cancel dialog of the template.xsn. Once they click on Open, the form will open in InfoPath. This is the most easiest way. But there are other ways using some amount of code that this can be done also.

  • Re: Indented output from save

I think the easiest way to do this would be to have your users download Altova's XMLSpy. This utility has a nice little ''Pretty Print'' button that automatically turns sloppy XML into nicely indented, pretty XML! I use it all the time. I'm sure it can be done with XSL or something similiar, but if you're editing XML by hand, you might as well ...

  • Re: Display name from DDL

If you have a Many-to-one relationship from Display Names to Values I'm afraid you are going to have to do tricky things to get the correct display value. As a general rule of thumb the names/values should be unique.

Matt, I went back and analyzed the tutorial and combed through it one more time, and I've discovered that I don't know how to read carefully. Problem solved.

Oh yea. I also need to be able to filter on date and only show entries for the last 6 months. I am assuming it must use something like dateadd(''m'', -6) or something but can't find any references. thanks, Rhonda

  • Coding a repeating table

Hi all, Brand new here and fairly new to Infopath. I am looking for an example of how to populate a repeating table with data from 2 tables from a secondary data source. One has general information about an item and the other has line item details for the item so it is a one to many relationship between the tables. The data needs to be ...

  • Indented output from save

Hi, I've got a form template that I would like to output indented xml on a Save. During the transition to Infopath, users may need to hand-edit their xml as they have in the past, or diff versions of it using a line-by-line differ. I've seen this question asked a time or two. I don't think I've seen a straight answer yet, though. I realize ...
