• Re: Required Controls Left Blank But Can Still Submit

    You are welcome, Deb. :-) The { }'s are required to group the code to execute for the IF condition. The code previously would always return after the if statement was executed.

    OH! I was so close! ;-) Finally! I know this seemed elementary to the regulars, but for people like me who aren't developers, we really need simple solutions like this. This might be a good solution to put on one of the Websites. Being able to close InfoPath after submission should be a basic function built into the program and not require ...

  • Re: rule based on more than one control

    thank u so much for ur responses... here's an example of what i'm trying to do: if field1 is equal to 'Y' and field2 is equal to 'cashback' then the calculated value for field3, 4, 5, 6, 7 will be (fieldx / fieldy) * 100 if field1 is not equal to 'Y' and field2 is 'whatever' then the calculated value will be something else for the rest of the ...

  • Re: Conditional input read from XML file

    I think this should do the trick: xdXDocument:GetDOM(''XML DATASOURCE'')/entity/group/field[../../group/@caption = current() and ./@caption = ''Location''] If this doesn't work, could you paste the XPath you tried so we can debug it?

    If the values you want to use are text rather than numbers, you would use a formula like: concat(field1, '' '', field2, '' '', field3) etc...

    Try this: function CTRL19_5::OnClick(eventObj) { if (XDocument.Errors.Count > 0) { XDocument.UI.Alert(''Required information is missing as indicated by the red asterisk(s).'') return; } XDocument.Submit() Application.ActiveWindow.Close(true); }

I have another lookup column called ''NextUser_Lookup'' which points to ''NextUser'' column. I use NextUser_Lookup only to convert the ''Domain\Employee ID'' to a lookup field so ...
