Same data type. Its just weird that when I right click all buttons are disabled including the Paste.

i havent tried with update, but with Cmd='New' i havent had any problems (as long as its a valid lookup ID ofcourse (in the solution i delete and create new)

I think Deb is correct. Close the From action only closes the form itself, not the InfoPath application. You still need the Application.ActiveWindow.Close(true) to close the application.
