• Re: Upper case all data

Try doing something like this in the OnAfterChange of each of the nodes: eventObj.site.text = eventObj.site.text.ToUpper(); This would make the text all uppercase, but for number 2 you would do this: var text = eventObj.site.text; text = text.substring(0,1).ToUpper() + text.substring(1, text.length); eventObj.site.text = text; Using these ...

  • Re: Drop down lists

Hi Frank and welcome to the forum! You can use an expression box to display the value of a drop-down menu, but if you always display the drop-down it will always match the display name to the value and show it instead.

  • Re: Required Controls Left Blank But Can Still Submit

I would just Google around for a ''JavaScript syntax'' tutorial and maybe work your way through a couple Hello World programs to get the ball rolling. Other than that, there are several books listed in the Resources section of this website that are recommended by our team. Also, you might have a look at using VBScript instead of JScript, it's ...

  • Re: Performance Comparison

I haven't done testing for this, but my instinct would tell me that SQL DB is going to be considerably more performant, especially as your solution grows to large scales. Storing data in a secondary data source is almost always a good idea. If you want other applications to also have easy access to the data, a database is a good idea, otherwise ...

  • Re: Can I embed a form on a webpage?

Hm, well this sounds like you won't really be able to tweak it from within InfoPath, except from what you said by reducing the number of data connections. Three to five minutes sounds like an awefully long time for a form to load, if you can't cut down on the number of data connections making pages for the data might be a good idea. This is where ...

  • Re: Repeating table calculation

You will need to use the current function for this. Check out this HowTo I recently wrote and I think it should be able to get you on the right track: http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=9111ef580f95479890fc18fb2c5bac85

  • David and Ned's super post

David and Ned's idea to pull data from a repeating table with just rules rocks (eval(eval(person, ''concat(my:email, ';')''), ''..'')) Here's the thing, I need to be able to filter the email field with a checkbox. Is this possible? All of my attempts have failed.

  • Improve Rendering Performance for a Slow View

Update 2007-06-24 by Shiraz Cupala: There is a bug that affects this in InfoPath 2007 and MS has released a hotfix for it here: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/6043.aspx ===== If you have any action that results in a lot of UI changes in the view then the form will become very slow. This is because repainting the entire view in ...

  • URN Solutions: How to Deploy Extranet Forms that Interoperate (Via E-mail) with Your Internal SharePoint Site

Prerequisites: To create an MSI in Office 2003, the SDK needs to be installed. There are a lot of times when we want someone not logged into the domain to be able to edit a form which needs to be submitted to SharePoint. This can be solved in the following manner. Let's say that "User A" is a person who works inside the ...

  • Repeating table calculation

I have a form that creates total mileage using a repeating table. The Miles control is populated from a SharePoint library when a company is chosen on the Infopath form. The first company works fine, but when I go to add another company, Miles duplicates the first company no matter what the company is. Here's the code for the Miles ...
