Hi,
You can set your own message, when user tries to submit the form with validation errors,
if(thisXDocument.Errors.Count >0)
{
thisXDocument.UI.Alert(''Your message'');
}
I hope this will help for you,
Thanks

Hello all,
does someone out there know how i can set up a data validation which checks if the entered value is not longer than six characters (can be numbers or letters).
Additional question: Can I change the message that pops up when the user tries to submit the form but hasn't filled all mandatory fields yet ?
Thx

Thank you for your help :)

Yes. You will prepare a dummy xml file how your secondary datasource will look like and dump the data dynamically into the secondary datasource from the code.

After you select 'Select a field or group' another box will pop up and there will be another drop-down at the top of this box that allows you to change which data connection you're looking at. In this case, you'll want to change to the data connection that you added to point to the Access database, and then choose the appropriate node from there.
