Hey,
That new document button is actually a piece of scripting that launches the template behind the forms folder.
If you switch to Exploere View, you will see a form folder. This form folder contains a number of files and a template (either a .doc, .xls or .xsn)
By default, when you create a Sharepoint document library the template is a word ...

Go to your data connection wizard, and there's a place where you can Edit SQL... this will allow you to place an ORDER BY statement in the SQL code so that your rows are ordered by the database before you ever get them in the form.

How can I get the link in the circle?
I want to put tihs link in other part of the portal, to do this, I need the link...
Thanks

I know with a SQL connection (and I would assume that its the same with Access) that you can go to the data connection, and edit the SQL code that retrieves the data and add the sorting right there... That way the data comes down from the database already sorted.

Does anyone have any idea why a text field brought into a form from a data connection with a database loses all paragraph formatting?
thanks

Sorry--this has nothing to do with Visual Studio or managed code. InfoPath simply won't allow you to dynamically insert controls into the view. If your data source is setup properly you should be able to create quite an elegant solution using conditional formatting on various control types in a repeating section.

<ProductDetail_1/>
<ProductDetail_2/>
</Product>But someone else might recommend:
<Product>
<Id>12345</Id>
<ProductDetail_1/>

Thanks for the link, but I don't think that will help me out in this case. The value for the date is being set in InfoPath, and no matter how I change the format in InfoPath, the value stored in SQL is a date with a time appended, so I am not sure how to make the timestamp not get stored. For ex. In InfoPath, the date is set to be: 2006-08-10. ...

Hi,
I'm a novice user trying to get Infopath to create a status report.
If a task that was worked on last week isn't 100% complete in the report, it should become a planned task for the upcoming week.
The report I've created has 2 repeating tables.
The first table contains the tasks worked on last week (description, percentage complete, ...

Hi Clay..thanks but I am not sure exactly what you mean here. My CAML file is :
<?xml version=''1.0'' encoding=''UTF-8'' ?>
<Batch OnError=''Continue''>
<Method ID=''1'' Cmd=''Update''>
<Field Name=''Number'' />
</Method>
</Batch>
So when you say I need to add Name=''ID'' do you mean I have to add a field ...
