Hi Scott and welcome to the forum,
To set the value based on rules, create the rule to set a value in your form based on a value in the secondary data source. You can have the first action in your rule be to query the AD Web service to get the default user, or to get another user based on some information in the form. We do this all the time and ...

Hey Myrna,
Did you have a question or were you just sharing your thoughts? Thanks, if so!
I would agree with you - SharePoint can be very helpful for team collaboration. If you don't want to invest in SharePoint you could probably also use a simple network shared folder to do all of the editing. Either way, you need to think about permissions ...

This sounds wierd. It should be pretty easy to do this. Are you sure you're binding the drop-down assignments to the repeating group instead of the node within the repeating group on the secondary DOM? You might also want to check to make sure that the secondary dom is truly getting the full list instead of just one item.

Hey Leo,
As an FYI, InfoPath now has SP2 out and you might find it beneficial to install this. A link to the downloader is on the left side of this page.
How many rows are you dealing with in this report? If you are only dealing with a small amount or are pulling the information over a LAN connection, you can use a quick-and-easy data filter in ...

Hey Rick Rick!!!
I don't think it's going to be easy to obfuscate a JScript form. I think the suggestion for obfuscation was meant to be used in VisualStudio with a managed language such as C# or VB.NET. You might be able to find some JScript obfuscators out there, but I don't know of any. You will want to begin you search more in the web-based ...

I think the easiest way to solve this problem would be to create a Print View that you can specifically tweak to your heart's desire. To remove the insertion links you can disable the insertion ability on the repeating sections in the print view.
For some more advanced printing techniques, check out these ...

Hi!!!
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to answer my other questions.
Now, back to bussines, I´ve written a chunk of code in my infopath form (the code is written in JScript) and I'm using VS.NET to create a web service (using C#), to interact with the DB tables, there's no problem with the web service, since users ...

I don't want to set the default value on the field, but rather set the field value based on rules. I can't seem to get this to work though. Anyone have any ideas?
