I'm not seeing any repeating controls (tables, sections) in that screenshot - can you share you the template?

Any chance you can attach a screenshot or the form itself under the Options tab in a reply? It would help me better understand the issue. :)

I think that SharePoint 2010 didn't have any loop actions - if I recall correctly, you had to sort of roll your own, so that may make this difficult. What is the criteria you count on in List 1? I'd guess, roughly, that if something in List 2 changes, the count in List 1 would change for multiple items. And you'd need to get all the ...

Here's a sample. I just used calculated values with a character with the Wingding font instead of a picture, just because that keeps the form smaller. If you must use a picture, you could put each picture in a section, and use similar conditional formatting. Save the attached file locally. Right click the file, and select Design to open in ...

Hi Steven: This post was from 2009 and I'm afraid I no longer have this code project hanging around. Could you post a forum thread with your code question - maybe include some screenshots?

So - I don't think the form is going to process logic when opened as "view" instead of "edit". I think you'll have to use workflow for this - on list 2 - that updates the items in list 1 when an item in list 2 changes. Are you using SharePoint on-prem or online? If online, you could use Power Automate for this. If ...

I like calculated values for displaying things like this. As long as it isn't a value you need in your list (like - people want to filter the list data by BU: BU Vision but don't want to have to use two filters or something) you can use calculated values for displaying things the way you want. :)

Ah, I see the issue. The default on the field includes the field itself - I'm guessing that's causing the issue. So changing the field, changes its own value - which then would cause the field to change again and so on. What about just using a calculated value to display them together? I've done that in this copy. You'll need to ...

Is there any chance you can attach a copy of your template under the options tab? Your "concat" formula should be either in the default value for a data field or in a rule on the data field. The field you select in the formula should be a data field - query fields are only for filtering data when we query it. "Refresh value when ...

Ah, perfect! This must be a list form - and yes, data vs. query can get a little confusing. Glad you have it all sorted out. :)
