At work, I'm having issues even accessing the Script editor because it tries to tell me I don't have the programming part installed for InfoPath (which I do)... sometimes I can get it to bug and let me do it, ha... I'm not totally sure I understand qRules entirely. ... Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-13-2010 Re: Auto-number rows from Sharepoint repeating table Mel, Thanks for the response... I tried doing what you have, but I think the problem is that my repeating table is auto-filled in text boxes don't update appropriately inside of these tables unless each list item is manually added. I've tried all kinds of preceding counts and nothing has worked because of this problem ... Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-13-2010 Adding fields to a repeating table NOT bound to the secondary source I'm having an issue with a repeating table grabbing information from a Sharepoint site. I'm getting the data, filtering it, populating the repeating table just fine... but I need to add additional columns that can be manually edited as well. For instance, say I have: Repeating table: ... Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-10-2010 Auto-number rows from Sharepoint repeating table I'm trying to get my repeating table to auto-number rows that are automatically populated from a Sharepoint server (and bound to it, of course). I want it to look something like... 1 etc etc etc 2 etc etc etc 3 etc etc etc Because it is taken from Sharepoint, I have no need to add/delete ... I hope this is all he asks for! I am definitely understanding DOM and InfoPath a lot more after your help. Thanks for everything! I hope I don't have to bug you again.. hah! :D Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-02-2010 Re: Sharepoint populated repeating table - unable to calculate field from repeating row values Yes, field 12 adds all the "@Units" fields and totals them. However, I can't just do: total_in_footer = sum(@Size[@Job_Num = Job] * @List[@Job_Num = Job]) because it gives an error. Currently, I am using your expression box to calculate the Cost in each row (@Units * @List) and now I need the footer to include the ... Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-01-2010 Re: Sharepoint populated repeating table - unable to calculate field from repeating row values Yes, I originally thought this wouldn't matter because he never asked me before to total up all the fields -- this was an addition. So right now, the expression box is correctly adding up the data from the two sharepoint fields, but now he wants a total of all those totals to show up in the footer of the repeating table (similar ... Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-01-2010 Re: Sharepoint populated repeating table - unable to calculate field from repeating row values One more quick question... Manager just asked me to sum up all of the totalCost stuff but I can't add expression box values since they do not store. Am I correct about this? Sorry to bother you again! Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-01-2010 Re: Sharepoint populated repeating table - unable to calculate field from repeating row values Yes! It works beautifully! After all this effort and I just needed an expression box?! Thank you so much for all your help -- this just saved me from the wrath of the higher ups. (AND you did responded promptly) -- I am forever grateful! :) Posted to General (Forum) by msacco on 12-01-2010 Re: Sharepoint populated repeating table - unable to calculate field from repeating row values It is not necessary to have this information on the Sharepoint site -- this will be manipulated as an offline form for administrative purposes. Thanks for the heads up! I'm trying to open your file but I think it has to be published by you before I can open it?
