Adding fields to a repeating table NOT bound to the secondary source

I'm having an issue with a repeating table grabbing information from a Sharepoint site. I'm getting the data, filtering it, populating the repeating table just fine... but I need to add additional columns that can be manually edited as well. For instance, say I have:

    Repeating table:

    ITEM_NUMBER        @Part_No         @Part_Description       @Order_Qty       NOTES

ITEM_NUMBER and NOTES are both not pulled from the secondary source. ITEM_NUMBER is just an iterating number (if I use Expression Box and use the position() method then it prints numbers incrementing in random order all over the place due to the filtered data that I get from the dropdown box I'm presuming) that counts 1-x length rows in the repeating table. NOTES is simply a field that should be able to be manually edited for each row. Is there any way at all I can add these Main data source boxes to a secondary repeating table and not bind them or have them repeat for each subsequent row? Currently, if I add a text box with no binding, it will list blank text boxes for every repeating row value, but if I enter information into any of those boxes, the rest of them in that column update to the same value... this is not acceptable.

I could really use this help, PLEASE give me some information if you know anything about this... I don't mind doing workarounds / invisible fields if it gets my form working. At this point, I'm trying to avoid any changes in the Sharepoint information (such as adding some null field that I could access as a workaround binding data source to create independent text box fields per row...).

On a side note ... if I can't do this, is there any way to set an additional repeating table (that works independently from the above one) to the same length as this repeating table? This way, I could do my counter right next to this secondary source...

    Thank you.

If I understand the scenario correctly, I believe you'll need to create a repeating table in the main data source, and copy the values from the secondary data source (for the fields that come from that data source). The other fields, since they belong to the main DOM, the user will be able to edit.

You could accomplish this with custom code, or with qRules.

    Good luck!

Do you know the custom code you could use to do this? At work, I'm having issues even accessing the Script editor because it tries to tell me I don't have the programming part installed for InfoPath (which I do)... sometimes I can get it to bug and let me do it, ha...

I'm not totally sure I understand qRules entirely. I'll keep reading into it and trying it. Copying the data and having the main repeating table update everytime I change the filtering of the secondary data source would be ideal.

Do you have an example where this is done (without code preferably)?

    Thanks.
