    Auto-number rows from Sharepoint repeating table

    I'm trying to get my repeating table to auto-number rows that are automatically populated from a Sharepoint server (and bound to it, of course). I want it to look something like...

    1     etc etc etc

    2     etc etc etc

    3     etc etc etc

    Because it is taken from Sharepoint, I have no need to add/delete rows -- I just need it to auto-populate once all the information is inserted. I've tried:

    count(../preceding-sibling::*/my:Index_Count) + 1

    and

    count(../preceding-sibling::*) + 1

    in expression box and text box with no luck. I tried just the "position" but it updates with index values (i.e. 1, 4, 7,) based off the other values in the table. This has to be part of the Main data source, as there is no numbering system from the Sharepoint secondary I am deriving from.

    Is there any way to do this?

    Any help is much appreciated -- Thanks!

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    I attached a sample template that you can use as a guide. I use it all the time when I'm having trouble getting the correct row-count formula for my repeating tables.

    Hope it helps!

     Mel,

    Thanks for the response... I tried doing what you have, but I think the problem is that my repeating table is auto-filled in text boxes don't update appropriately inside of these tables unless each list item is manually added. I've tried all kinds of preceding counts and nothing has worked because of this problem :/.

    Thank you for trying, though!
