    Publishing Form Erases Views

Hi I have an incredibly frustrating problem with Infopath libraries.

I have created a forms library by publishing a form. I then created about a dozen specifiec views. When i republish with some new fields being promoted it wipes out all the filters and specific columns of the view and reverts back to the default columns for all the views.

Also, publishing tacks on all the fields to the end of the default view. I 'm not making dramatic changes to the existing fields and when i recreate the view the values from the forms stay promoted.

    Hello,

After publishing the form if you modify any thing in form then InfoPath form is modifying the "listPropertiesExtension" properties in manifest.xsf. If you want to oldv views properties and setting then you have to copy and paste from old manifest.xsf file to new manifest.xsf.

    1. For this you have to open old manifest.xsf in editor mode.
    2. Search the keyword is "listPropertiesExtension". In that place you can see the all "fieldExtension" nodes of promoted properties.
    3. Open the new manifest.xsf in editor mode and replace with old node for oppropriate node.

Note: Make sure that we are changing in manifest.xsf we have one back up file. If some thing is wrong then we can use back up manifest.xsf file.

I think there may be some confusion. The InfoPath views are fine. The problem is the views in the SharePoint Library. But thanks for your response, I hadn't yet looked at the raw XML behind the form.

Has anyone figured out a reason why this happens?  I am having the same issue.  I published a form and all my views.were wiped out.  This is highly frustrating.  I even made a backup of the views but replacing them dosent even help.  Any help would be greatly appreciated....
