    Link comments box to drop down box value from sharepoint list

    Hi guys, I'm brand new to infopath so please bear with me. I am an instructor trying to design a form to monitor student progress over our 2 week course I have an infopath form with a simple sharepoint contact list as one of its secondary sources. I have a drop down to select somebody's name from that contact list. I then have a couple of text boxes entitled telephone number and first name which auto populate when I select the name from the drop down list. Underneath that I have a series of buttons day1, day2 etc. then underneath that some comments boxes I have it so that if you click day 1, you can enter comments in one box. Then click day 2 and it hides the first comment box and replaces with anew one. So over 10 days you can fill out comments on how the student is progressing for each day. My problem is if I select a new student the information in these boxes doesn't change. I guess because you can't associate them with a field in the sharepoint list. Can anybody please tell me if there is a way of achieving this? Thanks guys Mark

     Have you tried linking the comment boxes with sharepoint list entries and filter them by student?

     so something like this:

     CommentBox[student = "studentsNameIsJulio" and Day = "insertDayHere"]

    The sharePoint list would contain student, a string for the comment and an int for the day.

    So my sharepoint list would need a comments field for each day? The sharepoint list i have is a receive connection, i have been told you can only have one transmit connection which is where the form is submitted to, is this correct?
