Viewing saved forms in Sharepoint without InfoPath.

When using the submit function to submit the form results to a SharePoint Document Library, is there a way to view this submitted form without having the InfoPath application?

The point is, the people submitting these forms want to be able to view their previous submittments, but they won't have InfoPath installed.

    Possible?

To add to the case, it's apparently not acceptable for them to store the submittments as emails, in their mailbox.
They insist ob having them as "files" on a sharepoint library...

If you are using InfoPath Forms Services and browser forms, users should not have to have InfoPath installed to create new or open existing files.

    Hmm, thats strange.

They can fill in the form, as it's embedded in the InfoPath Form Webpart, so there's no issue there.

But when it submits to a form library, all they see is a file, which apparently needs to be opened with InfoPath. Even datasheet view just shows the file.

I'm thinking that may be the library settings. Under the settings for the library, Advanced settings, you can set whether the form should open in the Filler or the Browser. Can you check that setting?

Edited to add - the seeing the file in the form library is expected behavior. You'd anticipate the user would have to click on the file to open it, whether in the browser or in InfoPath.

This solved it! Forced to open in browser - bam! It works perfectly.

    Thank you so much!
