How to move file data outside xml ?

    Hi,

We have File Attachment controls in our XSN File. We submit form data to Infojet Service, it generates XML which has file data in XML as inline file.In this case XML becomes huge in size due to file data embeded in XML.We want to move file data outside the XML to reduce size of generated XML.

    How can we achieve this?

    Thanks,

    Atul

    Hi Atul,

qRules provides an easy way to do this and many other things. The SaveToSharePoint command is probably one of the most popular features. Here's a document describing this: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry40104.aspx

You can download a free trial. The library is very inexpensive. Qdabra pays for this free forum by selling tools and accelerators that people can use to speed up their development. qRules is one example.

    Thanks,
    Atul

    Hi again,

Database support is included in qRules but assumes Qdabra's DBXL Web Service exists. Here's another link of an XTP we provide for people that use qRules to upload images to SharePoint or DBXL: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/QdImagePicker.aspx

We could easily add HTTP file system support for you if you're interested. How about if you purchase qRules 2.1, we'll add the HTTP file system support to qRules v2.2? We hope to release v2.2 at end of May or early June and you could be our first beta tester.

    Interested?
