InfoPath Dev

The service request form template is exactly what I need. To make it perfect for what I'm doing all I need to do is change some of the items listed in the Service and Problem fields. I can't figure out where the information is stored.
Is there a way for me to change this?

Hi mswimsey and welcome to the forum!

To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Launch InfoPath (I'm assuming 2003).
2. Select Sample Forms from the Form Categories section
3. Select Service Request from the list
4. Select Design this Form from the Form Tasks section on the right.
5. Design the form, and then publish!

If you are using IP2007 the steps might be slightly different, but you get the idea!

I understand how to choose a template and pick design form. I've been able to change some things and tweak it to the look I want.

The trouble I'm having is with some of the fields inside the template. If you look at the Service Request template there are two fields - Service and Problem, both are drop down menus. One is dependent on the other. As an example: From Service choose “Blinds.” Then from Problem choose “Need New.” I would like to change the data inside these tables. Instead of “Blinds” I want to change it to “Curtains.” Is there a way to change this? I couldn#%92t find where the tables were to change this information.

1. Open Service Request form in design mode.
2. Choose extract form files from file menu.
3. Open "map" xml document in notepad.
4. Find "Blinds" and then change it to "Curtains" in display attribute.
