by existing data, do you mean, previously saved forms are deleted or that previously saved forms open with missing data or something else?

ok what I meant was when I go File, Publish Form from InfoPath designer and select the Form Library location to publish to, that library which already have some data in the columns, just disappears after its published. The column names stays, just the data in the rows disappears.

    did that make any sense?

    Hi,

Once verify whether the newly published form has those columns or not. And try once by relinking the forms as rajitha said.

Hi,Go to the sharepoint library. In the right side top corner click on view drop down. In that you can see relink documents. Then you will get the ‘RelinkDocuments’ view. In that check the check boxes of the Relink and click on ‘Relink selected documents’.

    ok thanks.

I have only have the View drop down menu available/enabled in one of the form libraries. For the other form libraries we have disabled it so its not showing at all. Can I relink forms without enabling the View menu?

    Hi,

Go to form library, click on settings. In that click on 'Form Library settings'. Under 'Permissions and Management'  you can see 'Relink documents to this library'.

I am now having this issue as well, but in one library the data magically reappeared on it's own over the weekend. In another the data in one column, the one I added an option to the drop down menu for (like the other library), is still missing it's data even after relinking. Usually if I open the form and save it again the data appears again for that form. Even THAT'S not working to fix this. I have tried relinking the documents to no avail.

I'm seeing this behavior as well. Although the existing forms are intact, the data from the promoted fields no longer appear in the SharePoint document library. If I open one of the old forms the field values do reappear in the library columns. Has anyone found an explaination/fix for this?

    Thanks!

I am having the same issue. Re-linking doesn't help either. Does anybody know the solution and cause of it. How can I prevent it from happening.
